It's been a few years since the Wilamette disaster, and Dead Rising 2 takes the action from the ordinary life of the Midwest to the glittering world of Fortune City, America's newest and largest entertainment hub. People flock to Fortune from all over the world to escape reality for a chance to win big, and for some, it's to compete in a contest called Terror is Reality.

Like millions of other Americans, former national motocross champion Chuck Green is consumed by the new TV sensation Terror is Reality. The show is hosted by Tyrone King, and the principle is simple: there are pits full of zombies and you need to kill more of them than your opponent and stay alive. Doing so can earn you a huge grand prize.

So what makes Chuck go to Fortune City and risk his own life in a modern version of gladiator games? Is he trying to recreate his glory days of motocross, does he have a reason to hate zombies, or is he simply after the money?

Thousands of zombies on the screen: the undead, who are absolutely everywhere, create a real challenge for players. The player will have to create weapons and kill in large numbers at once.
New story and characters: the new hero, Chuck Green, is just the beginning of a long list of new characters, new survivors and new even bigger freaks than have ever been introduced to fans in the world of Dead Rising.
Two-player co-op: co-op is introduced for the first time in the world of Dead Rising, and as a player you can invite your friends into a tag-team style zombie massacre. Play with your friends and have more fun slaughtering zombies by using strategic tools like the explosive helicopter model. Once the zombies are lured away, your friend can unleash a shower of missiles from the rooftop or even fire a shot at a strategically placed gas tank to cause a deadly explosion. Killing with friends has always been fun.
Terror is Reality: play with 4 players to complete a gladiator-style TV show pitting pits full of zombies against a handful of players in multiplayer
Combination weapons: players can combine two everyday items using duct tape to create the ultimate killing creations. By uncovering combo cards, players gain an advantage in finding the right combinations. The more zombies you creatively kill, the more Prestige Points you earn.
