The game draws you into the magical world of The Golden Compass, created by the studio behind the Lord of the Rings film trilogy. It is a world where witches fly across the icy sky, giant armored bears defend their kingdoms, and the evil Gobblers kidnap children into the frozen wasteland. In this world full of omnipresent danger and amazing adventure, the heroine Lyra Belacqua sets out to rescue her loved ones. Her uncle, Lord Asriel, has been imprisoned and her best friend Roger has been kidnapped. On her journey, she is aided by the animal daemon Pan, the huge and powerful polar bear Iorek, and the mysterious Golden Compass – a truth-telling device that helps the whole group find the right path.
