1C Entertainment

1C Entertainment was a games studio and publisher based in Warsaw, Poland. The company was founded as the European branch of the Russian firm 1C Company and gradually established itself as a leading European publisher and developer of strategy, RPG and action games. In 2022, it was renamed Fulqrum Games.

As a developer, the company was involved in several well-known games, most notably the fantasy RPG King’s Bounty II, a sequel to the legendary turn-based strategy series. The game combines world exploration, army management, turn-based combat and story-influencing decisions.

The studio was also behind the historical real-time strategy game Ancestors Legacy, inspired by medieval conflicts between the Vikings, Anglo-Saxons, Germanic tribes and Slavs. Thanks to its realistic battles, sophisticated tactics and cinematic presentation, the game has earned the acclaim of strategy fans.

Another major franchise associated with 1C Entertainment is the Men of War series, which ranks among the best-known tactical war strategy games set during the Second World War. The company has also been involved in publishing dozens of games from both independent and established studios.

Following its rebranding as Fulqrum Games, the company has focused primarily on publishing, whilst the development of new games has been taken over by partner studios. Nevertheless, the name 1C Entertainment remains associated with a number of successful strategy and RPG titles.

Thanks to games such as King’s Bounty II, Ancestors Legacy and the Men of War series, 1C Entertainment ranks among the leading European companies in the games industry. Their games have been released for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC.
