The PlayStation 4 (PS4) is a game console from Sony of Japan, manufactured by Foxconn The console was announced as the successor to the PlayStation 3 during a conference convened on 20 February 2013. Sales of the console officially began on November 15, 2013 in North America, and sales in the Czech Republic began on December 13, 2013. The PlayStation 4 is already part of the 8th generation of gaming consoles along with competing consoles such as the Nintendo WiiU and Xbox One.
