Avalanche Studios
Brand's website: Avalanche StudiosAvalanche Software is an American game studio founded in 1995 in Utah. Throughout its history, it has built a strong reputation for developing high-quality games based on well-known movie licenses and, later, for its work on large-scale action RPGs. The studio is now owned by Warner Bros. Games.
Among the studio’s best-known titles are the Disney Infinity series, which combined video games with interactive figures; the adventure series Tak and the Power of Juju; the racing game Cars 3: Driven to Win; Toy Story 3: The Video Game; Bolt; Chicken Little; and the successful action RPG Hogwarts Legacy, set in the wizarding world of Harry Potter.
Games from Avalanche Software are known for their sophisticated rendering of licensed worlds, an emphasis on fun gameplay, and high-quality technical execution. The studio appeals to both younger players with family-friendly titles and adult fans of vast open worlds.
In 2016, following the conclusion of the Disney Infinity project, the studio was shut down by Disney. A year later, it was acquired by Warner Bros. Games, under whose leadership the globally successful title Hogwarts Legacy was developed, becoming one of the best-selling games of 2023.
If you enjoy family-friendly games, action-adventure titles, or expansive open-world RPGs, Avalanche Software’s creations are among the best the modern gaming industry has to offer.
