BAM! Studios Europe
BAM! Studios Europe Ltd. was a British video game development studio active in the early 21st century. The studio collaborated with the publisher BAM! Entertainment and focused primarily on developing action and licensed games for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, and PC.
The studio’s best-known title is Judge Dredd: Dredd vs. Death, an action FPS game inspired by the popular comic book hero Judge Dredd. In it, players take on the role of an uncompromising law enforcer fighting criminals, mutants, and supernatural threats in the dystopian city of Mega-City One.
The studio focused on adapting well-known brands into games and sought to offer action-packed gameplay combining shooting, environmental exploration, and story-driven missions. Although it didn’t release a large number of games, it managed to capture the attention of fans of comic books and action titles.
BAM! Studios Europe is now one of the lesser-known studios in gaming history, but thanks to the game Judge Dredd: Dredd vs. Death, it remains a part of the PlayStation 2 and Xbox era, when a number of interesting licensed action games were created.
