Bizarre Creations

Bizarre Creations was a British video game studio founded in 1988 in Liverpool. The studio became best known for developing innovative racing games that combined realistic driving physics with arcade-style gameplay. In 2007, the studio was acquired by Activision, which shut it down in 2011.

The studio’s greatest success came with the Project Gotham Racing series, which became one of the most significant racing series on the Xbox consoles. Other well-known titles include Blur, Geometry Wars, The Club, James Bond 007: Blood Stone, Formula 1, and Metropolis Street Racer for the Dreamcast console.

Games from Bizarre Creations were known for their sophisticated driving physics, attractive graphics, and original gameplay mechanics. The Project Gotham Racing series introduced the Kudos system, which rewarded players for stylish and precise driving, not just for winning races.

Although the studio Bizarre Creations no longer exists, its games remain among the highest-rated racing titles of their era. In particular, Project Gotham Racing and Blur have achieved cult status and still have many fans around the world today.
