Cryo Interactive Entertainment was a French video game company founded in 1992 in Paris. It was one of the most prominent European developers and publishers of the 1990s and became famous primarily for creating adventure, strategy, and historical games with an emphasis on strong storytelling, atmosphere, and high-quality graphics.

The company’s greatest popularity came from the Atlantis, Egypt, Dragon Lore, Versailles 1685, Salammbo, and Chronicles of the Sword series, as well as the strategy game Dune, which became one of the pioneers of real-time strategy games. Cryo Interactive focused on historical and science fiction themes, and its games often combined logic puzzles, environmental exploration, and cinematic storytelling.
