Cyanide Studio

Cyanide Studio is a French development studio founded in 2000 and based in Nanterre, near Paris. Over more than two decades, it has established itself as one of Europe’s leading developers and has made a name for itself primarily through the creation of sports simulators, strategy games and RPG titles based on well-known licences.

The studio has gained the most recognition for the Pro Cycling Manager and Tour de France series, which deliver a realistic portrayal of the world’s most famous cycling race every year. The fantasy strategy game Blood Bowl, inspired by the Warhammer universe, has also been a great success, as has the stealth series Styx, in which players take on the role of the cunning goblin Styx.

Other well-known titles from the studio include Game of Thrones, Call of Cthulhu, Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood, Space Hulk: Tactics, Chaos League, Aarklash: Legacy and Warhammer: Chaosbane, on the development of which the studio collaborated. Cyanide Studio has long focused on games with sophisticated gameplay, tactical elements and faithful adaptations of licensed source material.

In 2018, the studio became part of Nacon, under which it continues to develop new games for the PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC platforms. Thanks to a combination of sports simulations, strategy games and fantasy RPGs, Cyanide Studio has built a strong reputation amongst players worldwide, and its games regularly appeal to fans of sophisticated gameplay systems and well-known franchises.
