DigixArt

DigixArt is a French development studio founded in 2015 in Montpellier. The studio was founded by Yoan Fanise, a former creative director at Ubisoft, who worked on the award-winning adventure game Valiant Hearts: The Great War. DigixArt specialises in narrative-driven games featuring emotional storytelling, original gameplay mechanics and a distinctive art style.

The studio first gained wider recognition with the adventure game Lost in Harmony, which combined rhythm-based gameplay with a touching story about friendship. However, international success only came with the interactive adventure 11-11: Memories Retold, created in collaboration with Aardman Animations. The game tells the powerful story of two soldiers from opposing sides in the First World War and captivated players with its unique, painterly visual style.

The studio’s best-known title is Road 96, a procedurally generated narrative adventure in which players attempt to escape from an authoritarian state. Each journey brings new characters, situations and decisions that influence the story’s subsequent development. This success was followed by the sequel Road 96: Mile 0, which expanded the story and introduced new gameplay mechanics.

The studio is also working on an ambitious adventure, Tides of Tomorrow, which is built around a shared online world and the consequences of other players’ decisions. DigixArt is known for its innovative approach to interactive storytelling, powerful emotions and emphasis on player choices.

Thanks to games such as Road 96, 11-11: Memories Retold and Tides of Tomorrow, DigixArt ranks among the most interesting French independent studios of today. Their titles are released on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC, and are recognised for their original stories and unique presentation.
