DON'T NOD Entertainment

DON'T NOD Entertainment (formerly Dontnod Entertainment) is a French development studio founded in 2008 in Paris. The studio is best known for its narrative-driven adventure and action games, which emphasise strong characters, emotional storytelling and decisions that influence the course of the story. In 2021, it adopted the official name DON'T NOD.

The studio’s first major project was the action game Remember Me, which captivated players with its original futuristic world and the ability to manipulate memories. However, the real breakthrough came with the episodic adventure game Life is Strange, in which players control the student Max Caulfield, who is able to rewind time and change her own fate as well as that of those around her. The game won numerous awards for its story, characters and emotional atmosphere.

The studio followed up on this success with Life is Strange 2 and Tell Me Why, which also focus on powerful stories, moral choices and sensitively handled social themes. Other notable games include the action RPG Vampyr, set in post-World War I London, where the player, as a vampire doctor, must choose between saving lives and their own thirst for blood.

In subsequent years, the studio released the award-winning climbing adventure Jusant, the narrative-driven action RPG Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden and the adventure game Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, which builds on the experience of the creators of the Life is Strange series.

DON’T NOD Entertainment is renowned for its sophisticated dialogue, cinematic presentation, strong emphasis on storytelling, and choices that have a real impact on the story’s development. The studio focuses on original, authorial projects and ranks among Europe’s most respected creators of narrative-driven games.

Thanks to games such as Life is Strange, Remember Me, Vampyr, Tell Me Why, Jusant, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden and Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, DON’T NOD Entertainment ranks among the most significant French game studios. Their titles are available on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC.
