EA DICE

EA DICE (originally Digital Illusions CE, abbreviated as DICE) is a Swedish video game development studio founded in 1992 in Stockholm. The studio is a subsidiary of Electronic Arts and ranks among the world’s leading developers of action games. It is best known for its realistic military shooters and its proprietary graphics engine, Frostbite, which is used in many EA games.

The studio’s most famous series is undoubtedly Battlefield, which has offered large-scale multiplayer battles, realistic environmental destruction, combat vehicles, and teamwork since 2002. Among the most successful titles are Battlefield: Bad Company, Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4, Battlefield 1, Battlefield V, and Battlefield 2042.

In addition to the Battlefield series, the studio also created the award-winning parkour action game Mirror's Edge and its sequel Mirror's Edge Catalyst. In collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, it also developed the modern titles Star Wars Battlefront and Star Wars Battlefront II, which allowed players to experience iconic battles from the Star Wars universe.

EA DICE is considered a technological leader in the gaming industry. The Frostbite engine introduced revolutionary graphics, realistic lighting, physics, and environmental destruction, and became the foundation not only for action games but also for the sports series EA SPORTS FC, Madden NFL, Need for Speed, and other Electronic Arts titles.

Today, EA DICE is one of the most respected European game studios. Its games are regularly released on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms, and the Battlefield series ranks among the best-selling FPS franchises in video game history.
