Eurocom Entertainment

Eurocom Entertainment Software was a British video game studio founded in 1988 in Derby. Over the course of more than twenty years, it became one of Europe’s leading developers of console games and was best known for its action titles, licensed games, and adaptations of well-known movie franchises.

The studio’s best-known games include GoldenEye 007 (Wii), 007 Legends, James Bond 007: Nightfire, Dead Space: Extraction, Disney Universe, Spyro: A Hero’s Tail, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, Batman Begins, 40 Winks, and Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy (collaborative development).

The studio built a strong reputation thanks to high-quality adaptations of film licenses and games from the worlds of James Bond, Disney, and other well-known brands. Games from Eurocom Entertainment offered sophisticated action, diverse locations, a cinematic atmosphere, and entertaining gameplay that appealed to a wide range of players.

Although Eurocom Entertainment was shut down in 2012, its games still hold their place among the favorite titles of the PlayStation, Xbox, GameCube, Wii, and Nintendo 64 eras. Eurocom’s Bond games, in particular, are still considered some of the best video games inspired by Agent 007.
