Fallen Tree Games

Fallen Tree Games is a British independent development studio founded in 2012. The team consists of experienced developers who have previously worked on a number of well-known gaming projects. The studio focuses primarily on open-world action games, combining driving, shoot-outs, city exploration and a variety of missions.

The studio’s best-known earlier title is American Fugitive, an action sandbox game inspired by the classic instalments of the Grand Theft Auto series. The story is set in the American town of Redrock County in the 1980s and follows Will Riley, who was wrongfully convicted of his father’s murder. After escaping from prison, he sets out to track down the real culprit.

American Fugitive offers a vast top-down world in which you can drive cars, raid shops, burgle houses, use various weapons and evade the police. The game combines story-driven missions with open-world exploration and a range of side activities.

Another major project is The Precinct, which turns the traditional concept of crime-themed sandbox games on its head. Instead of a criminal, the player takes on the role of police officer Nick Cordell Jr., who is starting his service in Averno City. His day-to-day work involves patrolling the streets, investigating crimes, arresting suspects and pursuing criminals.

The Precinct combines police simulation with action-packed sandbox gameplay. Players can patrol the open city on foot or in police vehicles, respond to procedurally generated incidents, and take part in car chases and shoot-outs. A police helicopter is also available, as is the option to call in reinforcements.

Fallen Tree Games is best known for its ability to combine classic isometric action with a modern open world. Whilst American Fugitive allows players to experience the city from the perspective of a criminal on the run, The Precinct places players on the other side of the law.
