Full Control

Full Control was a Danish development studio founded in 2013 in Copenhagen. The studio focused primarily on turn-based strategy and RPG games, specialising in adaptations of well-known franchises with an emphasis on staying true to the source material and tactical gameplay.

The studio’s best-known project is Space Hulk, a strategy game set in the dark world of Warhammer 40,000. In it, players command elite Space Marine units on dangerous missions against genetically modified Genestealers. The game faithfully adapts the rules of the tabletop game to a digital format and offers challenging turn-based combat.

Another notable title is Jagged Alliance: Flashback, which continues the legendary series of tactical strategy games. The studio sought to preserve the classic gameplay based on planning, mercenary management and turn-based combat that made the series famous.

Full Control was known for its emphasis on strategic depth, well-thought-out game mechanics and collaborations with holders of well-known licences. Although the studio was only active for a few years, its games found a following, particularly amongst fans of more challenging tactical strategy games.

Although Full Control is no longer active, titles such as Space Hulk and Jagged Alliance: Flashback remain interesting examples of modern turn-based strategy games and serve as a reminder of the studio’s ambition to adapt popular board and video game franchises into high-quality digital formats.
