Ghost Ship Games

Ghost Ship Games is a Danish independent development studio founded in 2016 in Copenhagen. The studio was established with the aim of creating co-op games focused on teamwork, high replayability and active communication with the player community. Since 2021, it has been part of the Embracer Group through the publisher Coffee Stain.

The studio’s greatest success has come with the co-op action game Deep Rock Galactic, which has attracted millions of players worldwide. Taking on the role of space dwarves, you embark on dangerous expeditions into procedurally generated caves teeming with alien creatures, where you mine rare resources, complete missions and fight together for survival.

Each of the four playable dwarves has their own class, unique abilities and equipment. Thanks to the combination of classes, procedurally generated maps and ever-changing missions, the game offers high replay value and encourages cooperation between players.

Building on the success of the original game, the studio has followed up with further projects set in the same universe, such as the roguelite action game Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor and the strategy spin-off Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core, which further expand the world of Deep Rock Galactic.

Ghost Ship Games is known for its open communication with the community, regular updates and long-term support for its games. Thanks to this approach, it has built a reputation as one of the highest-rated independent studios specialising in co-operative multiplayer.

Thanks to the success of the Deep Rock Galactic series, Ghost Ship Games is now one of the most prominent Danish game studios. Their games are available on PlayStation, Xbox and PC and are among the most popular co-operative titles of recent years.
