Ghost Town Games

Ghost Town Games is a British independent development studio founded in 2015. It was set up by developers Phil Duncan and Oli De-Vine, who decided to create a co-operative game based on the simple concept of cooking together. The result was the Overcooked! series, which gained worldwide popularity and established the studio as a leading creator of local multiplayer games.

The first Overcooked! puts players in the role of chefs who must work together to prepare and serve meals under intense time pressure. The various kitchens are made more challenging by moving platforms, fires, conveyor belts, icy surfaces and other obstacles. The key to success lies in cooperation, dividing tasks and quick communication between players.

Building on the success of the first instalment came Overcooked! 2, developed in collaboration with Team17. The sequel introduced new recipes and kitchens, the ability to throw ingredients, and, most importantly, online multiplayer. It retained the series’ signature chaotic gameplay, which has made it a favourite choice for playing together with family and friends.

Both games were later combined and reworked into the Overcooked! All You Can Eat collection, which includes content from both the first and second instalments, including expansions, and features technical improvements and additional features.

Ghost Town Games focuses primarily on games based on multiplayer co-op, simple rules and situations in which the whole team must coordinate their actions. The Overcooked! series has won numerous awards and has become one of the best-known modern brands in the field of co-op games.

Thanks to the games Overcooked!, Overcooked! 2 and Overcooked! All You Can Eat, Ghost Town Games is one of the best-known British independent studios specialising in co-op gaming. Their games are available on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC.
