HotGen Studios

HotGen Studios was a British video game studio founded in 1999 in Manchester. It specialized primarily in developing games for PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable (PSP), Nintendo DS, Game Boy Advance, Wii, PC, and other platforms. The studio focused mainly on licensed games, racing titles, sports games, and family adventure games.

The studio’s best-known games include Crazy Frog Racer, Crazy Frog Racer 2, Family Guy Video Game!, Love Football, Alex Rider: Stormbreaker, ToCA Race Driver 3 Challenge, Horsez, The Spiderwick Chronicles, and Petz Sports. Thanks to its broad portfolio, it collaborated with major publishers such as Ubisoft, Codemasters, 2K Games, Vivendi Games, THQ, and Empire Interactive.

Games from HotGen Studios were known primarily for their simple and accessible gameplay, which appealed to a wide range of players. The studio made a significant name for itself particularly on handheld consoles, where it created a number of successful adaptations of well-known film, television, and game franchises.
