IV Productions

IV Productions is an Italian independent games studio founded in 2012 in Bologna. The studio is led by the experienced developer Ivan Venturi, a leading figure in the Italian games industry who has been involved in video game development since the 1980s. The name IV refers not only to his initials, but also to ‘Italian Videogames’ and the fourth stage of his professional career.

The studio specialises in the development and production of games for PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Mac, mobile devices and virtual reality platforms. Its best-known projects include the VR sports game VR Ping Pong, the sci-fi horror adventure Albedo: Eyes from Outer Space, the action platformer Cast of the Seven Godsends – Redux, and the adventure series Nicolas Eymerich, Inquisitor, inspired by the novels of the same name.

The studio’s other projects include the strategy game Riot: Civil Unrest, the puzzle adventure Occultus: Mediterranean Cabal, Black Viper: Sophia’s Fate, Feudalism, Ekranoplan: Soviet Monsters and a range of educational, mobile and VR titles. The studio is also involved in the development of serious games and projects focused on virtual reality.

Ivan Venturi is also the founder of the Italian conference Svilupparty, which supports independent developers, and has long been involved in the development of the Italian games scene.
