Leenzee

Leenzee is a Chinese development studio founded in 2016 and based in Chengdu. The studio specialises in developing modern action RPGs for PlayStation, Xbox and PC, with a focus on sophisticated combat systems, high-quality graphics and stories inspired by Chinese history and mythology.

The studio’s first major project is Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, a dark action RPG set at the end of the Ming dynasty. The main heroine is the pirate Wuchang, who suffers from a mysterious illness known as Feathering. On her journey, she battles terrifying monsters, uncovers the secrets of the ravaged land of Shu, and gradually acquires new abilities and powerful weapons.

The game combines challenging combat inspired by the soulslike genre, extensive exploration of an interconnected world, a character progression system, and a rich array of weapons and combat styles. Chinese folklore, historical events and supernatural beings also play a significant role, creating a unique atmosphere.

Leenzee utilises modern technologies, including Unreal Engine 5, to deliver detailed environments, realistic animations and impressive visual effects. The studio aims to bring players top-class action games that blend traditional Chinese culture with modern game design.

Thanks to the title Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, Leenzee has established itself as one of the most promising Chinese game studios today. Their games are available on PlayStation, Xbox and PC, and appeal to fans of action RPGs as well as challenging soulslike games.
