Maxis

Maxis is an American game studio founded in 1987 by developers Willem Wright and Jeff Braun. The studio became famous for developing some of the most successful simulation games of all time and has been part of Electronic Arts (EA) since 1997.

The studio’s greatest fame came from the The Sims series, which became the best-selling life simulation series in video game history. Maxis is also behind legendary titles such as SimCity, Spore, SimEarth, SimAnt, SimFarm, SimCopter, as well as The Sims 2, The Sims 3, and The Sims 4.
