Metronomik

Metronomik is a Malaysian development studio founded in 2017 in Kuala Lumpur. The studio was founded by Wan Hazmer, former lead game designer on the Final Fantasy XV series, and Daim Dziauddin, an experienced concept artist. Metronomik focuses on creating original action games in which music, rhythm and compelling storytelling play a key role.

The studio’s first and best-known project is the action-adventure game No Straight Roads. Players control a pair of rock musicians, Mayday and Zuke, who take on a corrupt music empire dominated by electronic dance music (EDM). The game combines action-packed combat, rhythmic elements, exploration of Vinyl City and battles against unique bosses, each representing a different musical style.

Building on the success of the first instalment, No Straight Roads 2 further develops the story, introducing new playable characters, a larger world, a more sophisticated combat system and an even stronger integration of music with gameplay. The studio remains committed to its goal of creating games that blend interactive musical experiences with action-packed gameplay.

Metronomik is renowned for its distinctive anime-inspired art style, energetic soundtrack and creative character design. Their games stand out for their original blend of music, action and humour, offering a fresh take on action-adventure games.

Thanks to the games No Straight Roads and No Straight Roads 2, Metronomik ranks among the most prominent game studios in South-East Asia. Their titles are available on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC.
