Monumental Games

Monumental Games was a British game studio founded in 2005 that focused on developing racing, sports, and family games for the PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, and PC platforms. The studio collaborated with a number of well-known publishers and contributed to the creation of games for a wide range of players.

The studio’s best-known projects include MotoGP, RC Revenge Pro, Crash Time, Wicked Monsters Blast!, My Horse & Me, Defendin' de Penguin, and various titles for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS. The studio built a reputation for accessible gameplay and a focus on family-friendly entertainment.

Games from Monumental Games were known for their simple controls, varied game modes, and an effort to appeal to both casual and more experienced players. In addition to racing games, the studio also developed sports and children’s titles.

Although Monumental Games is no longer an active development studio, its games have found a dedicated fan base, particularly on seventh-generation consoles. Thanks to its broad portfolio of titles, the studio remains a part of video game history and the era of the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii.
