Norsfell Games

Norsfell Games is a Canadian independent development studio founded in 2013 in Montreal. The studio specialises in creating co-operative games, survival titles and strategic adventures inspired by Norse mythology. Its aim is to create games that encourage teamwork, exploration and long-term replayability.

The studio achieved its greatest success with the action survival RPG Tribes of Midgard. In the game, players take on the roles of Viking warriors who work together to protect their village and the sacred tree Yggdrasil from attacks by giants, monsters and the forces of Ragnarök. The game combines exploration of a procedurally generated world, resource gathering, crafting, building defences, character progression and co-op battles for up to ten players.

Alongside Tribes of Midgard, the studio is also working on other original projects. These include Norsk: Out of the Woods, a co-operative adventure game focused on exploring nature, survival and player collaboration in a setting inspired by Scandinavian forests and folklore.

Norsfell Games is known for its distinctive, stylised graphics, sophisticated crafting systems and emphasis on co-operative play. The studio regularly expands its games through free updates and new content, thereby building a strong player community.

Thanks to the games Tribes of Midgard and Norsk: Out of the Woods, Norsfell Games is one of the most interesting Canadian independent game studios today. Their titles are available on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC.
