Paradigm Entertainment
Paradigm Entertainment was an American games studio founded in 1997 in Texas. It was originally established as a division of Paradigm Simulation, a company that developed professional flight simulators. The studio later focused on developing video games for the Nintendo 64, PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, Wii, Nintendo 3DS and PC.
The studio’s best-known games include Mission: Impossible, Stuntman, Stuntman: Ignition, Pilotwings Resort, Terminator 3: The Redemption, Beetle Adventure Racing! and Big Air Freestyle. The studio made its name primarily through action games, racing titles and games based on well-known film licences.
Games from Paradigm Entertainment were renowned for their high-quality vehicle physics, well-crafted missions and emphasis on cinematic atmosphere. The developers were not afraid to experiment with various genres, and their titles often offered original gameplay mechanics and a high level of entertainment.
In 2010, the studio was acquired by THQ, which incorporated it under the THQ Digital Studios brand. A year later, Paradigm Entertainment was closed down and its staff moved on to other major game studios.
