Paradox Interactive is a Swedish games company founded in 1999 and based in Stockholm. The company operates as both a developer and publisher of video games and is one of the leading creators of major strategy games. Through its in-house team, Paradox Development Studio, it creates expansive historical and sci-fi strategy games that are renowned for their high level of complexity and long-term support.

Among the company’s most successful franchises is Crusader Kings, in which players lead medieval dynasties, forge alliances, wage wars and navigate family and political intrigues.
