Polyphony Digital

Polyphony Digital is a Japanese game studio founded in 1998 as part of Sony Interactive Entertainment. The studio is led by legendary game designer Kazunori Yamauchi and specializes almost exclusively in the development of realistic racing simulators.

It achieved its greatest success with the Gran Turismo series, which has set a new standard for car simulators since its first installment on the PlayStation console in 1997. The series is renowned for its realistic driving model, faithfully rendered licensed cars, detailed graphics, and emphasis on an authentic driving experience.
