Quantic Dream

Quantic Dream is a French development studio founded in 1997 in Paris by game designer David Cage. Since its inception, the studio has focused on developing interactive narrative games in which the player’s decisions have a direct impact on the course of the plot and the fates of individual characters. Thanks to this approach, Quantic Dream has established a unique position within the games industry.

Its first major success was the psychological adventure game Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy), which introduced cinematic storytelling and a decision-making system that influenced the narrative. The real breakthrough, however, came with Heavy Rain, a gripping thriller in which players investigate the mysterious Origami Killer. The game earned acclaim for its emotional story, realistic characters and multitude of possible endings.

The studio followed up this success with Beyond: Two Souls, starring Hollywood actors Elliot Page and Willem Dafoe. The game combines supernatural elements with a profound story and allows players to influence the protagonist’s life through their decisions.

The studio’s greatest commercial success was Detroit: Become Human, a futuristic drama about androids striving for freedom. Thanks to its extensive choice system, dozens of different storylines and exceptionally sophisticated graphics, the game became one of the best-selling PlayStation exclusives and later enjoyed great success on PC as well.
