Radical Entertainment

Radical Entertainment was a Canadian game studio founded in 1991 in Vancouver. During its existence, the studio became famous for developing open-world action games, both licensed titles and original franchises, which attracted millions of players worldwide.

The company’s greatest success came with the Prototype series, in which players took on the role of Alex Mercer, a character with superhuman abilities. In addition to this popular franchise, the studio also created games such as The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, Crash Tag Team Racing, Scarface: The World Is Yours, The Simpsons: Hit & Run, and The Simpsons Road Rage.

Games from Radical Entertainment were known for their fast-paced action, vast open-world environments, and freedom in completing missions. Prototype and The Simpsons: Hit & Run, in particular, are still considered cult classics in their genres.

In 2005, the studio became part of Activision. Although it no longer actively develops new games, Radical Entertainment has left a significant mark on the history of video games thanks to several highly successful and still-popular titles.
