Raredrop Games

Raredrop Games is a British independent game development studio specialising primarily in strategy and tactical games. The studio creates titles inspired by classic turn-based strategy games, combining them with modern presentation and distinctive art style.

The studio’s best-known project is Warborn, a turn-based tactical strategy game set in a futuristic world where units piloting giant combat machines known as Variable Armour battle one another.

Players choose commanders with different abilities and then lead their units in tactical battles on maps divided into hexagonal squares. Each unit type has its own strengths and weaknesses, so the correct deployment of the army, use of the terrain and planning of individual attacks play a crucial role.

Warborn offers a story-driven campaign featuring several commanders, standalone scenarios and multiplayer battles. The visual style is heavily inspired by Japanese anime and classic stories about giant robots, which gives the game its distinctive look.

In its development, Raredrop Games focuses on combining accessible rules with sufficient tactical depth. As a result, its games are suitable for both experienced strategy fans and players who are just starting out with turn-based tactical titles.

Warborn has been released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC and is Raredrop Games’ best-known title.
