Rogue Factor

Rogue Factor is a Canadian development studio founded in 2013 in Montreal. The studio specialises in action games and tactical strategy titles featuring sophisticated combat systems, a dark atmosphere and a strong emphasis on storytelling. Since 2024, it has been part of the Nacon Studio Milan group.

The studio’s first major title was the turn-based strategy game Mordheim: City of the Damned, based on the popular Warhammer universe from Games Workshop. In the game, players lead their own warband through the ruins of the city of Mordheim, utilising tactical combat, character development and equipment management.

This success was followed by the strategy game Necromunda: Underhive Wars, set in another Warhammer universe. It offers large-scale turn-based battles between gangs, sophisticated character customisation options and a faithful rendition of a dark sci-fi setting.

The studio’s most ambitious project is the action-adventure game Hell is Us, which combines exploration of a semi-open world, third-person combat and a mysterious story set in a country ravaged by civil war. The game emphasises exploration without traditional map markers and encourages players to navigate using their surroundings, conversations and their own judgement.

Rogue Factor utilises modern technology, including Unreal Engine 5, and focuses on realistic animations, cinematic storytelling and more challenging combat mechanics. Their games are known for their meticulously crafted worlds, distinctive atmosphere and emphasis on tactical decision-making.

Thanks to titles such as Mordheim: City of the Damned, Necromunda: Underhive Wars and Hell is Us, Rogue Factor ranks among Canada’s leading studios specialising in action and strategy games. Their titles are released for PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
