Sloclap is a French independent development studio founded in 2015 in Paris. The studio was founded by former developers from Ubisoft Paris and Arkane Studios, who wanted to create original action games focused on martial arts, a precise combat system and a high level of challenge.

The studio’s first title was the online action RPG Absolver, which offered a unique system for creating your own fighting style. Players could combine dozens of strikes, kicks and defensive techniques into their own combat sequences and face off against opponents in both PvE and PvP battles.

The studio achieved global success with Sifu, which became one of the highest-rated action games of its generation. In it, the player embarks on a quest for revenge as a young kung fu master. The game’s original ageing mechanic means that after each death, the hero ages, gaining greater strength but simultaneously losing part of his life. The game captivated players with its realistic combat inspired by the martial art Pak Mei Kung Fu, superb choreography and high difficulty.

In 2025, the studio unveiled the multiplayer football title Rematch, which offers an arcade-style take on football with an emphasis on teamwork, individual skills and dynamic online matches.

Sloclap is renowned for its sophisticated combat systems, fluid animations and emphasis on mastering game mechanics. Their games reward patience, precision and the gradual refinement of the player’s skills.

Thanks to titles such as Sifu, Absolver and Rematch, Sloclap ranks among the most successful French independent studios. Their games are available on PlayStation, Xbox and PC and have won numerous awards for their gameplay, combat design and originality.
