Springloaded

Springloaded is a British independent development studio founded in 2012 and based in Cheltenham, England. The studio focuses on developing original indie games for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC and mobile devices. It is best known for its creativity, inventive game mechanics and collaborations with other independent developers.

It achieved its greatest success as the developer and publisher of the building strategy game Let’s Build a Zoo, in which players build and manage their own zoo, look after the animals, create new genetic combinations and decide whether to run an ethical or controversial zoo. The game gained popularity thanks to its pixel art graphics, humour and high replay value.

The studio was also involved in the release of the award-winning 3D platformer Tinykin, which captivated players with its original world, fluid movement and inspiration drawn from classic games of the genre. Other projects include the adventure game Boxville 2 and a number of smaller independent titles on which Springloaded collaborated as a developer or publisher.

Springloaded places an emphasis on supporting independent developers, innovative game ideas and creating games that are accessible to a wide range of players. Through a combination of its own projects and publishing activities, the studio has established a strong position on the indie scene.

Thanks to games such as Let’s Build a Zoo, Tinykin and other projects, Springloaded is one of the UK’s best-known independent game studios. Their titles are available on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC and mobile devices.
