Stillalive studios

Stillalive Studios is an Austrian game development studio based in Innsbruck. The studio was founded in 2010 and focuses primarily on simulators, management strategy games and other titles based on sophisticated game systems. Throughout its history, it has developed titles for both PC and game consoles and has collaborated with a number of European publishers.

One of the studio’s most prominent franchises is Bus Simulator. In Bus Simulator 18, players take on the role of a bus driver whilst gradually building up their own transport company. They drive along city routes, transport passengers, purchase additional buses and expand their network.

This title was followed by Bus Simulator 21, which introduced a more expansive environment, a wider range of licensed buses and additional options for managing the transport company. Players can drive vehicles from well-known manufacturers, plan routes and ensure the efficient operation of the entire bus network. The expanded version, Bus Simulator 21 Next Stop, introduced further improvements and new content.

Another notable project is Rescue HQ – The Tycoon, a management strategy game focused on running an emergency services base. Players build and expand their own headquarters, from which they manage the fire service, police and ambulance service. They must purchase vehicles and equipment, recruit staff and dispatch individual units to emergency incidents.

Rescue HQ combines base-building with economic strategy. Each emergency service requires its own equipment, premises and staff, and the player must allocate available funds and resources wisely. The base can be gradually expanded to respond to increasingly challenging crisis situations.

The studio’s portfolio also includes Grand Casino Tycoon, in which players build and manage their own casino, and the sci-fi action game Drone Swarm, which lets players control a massive swarm of drones during space battles.

stillalive studios has also worked on other projects, such as Son of Nor, and has thus experimented with several different genres throughout its history. However, simulators and management games make up the most significant part of its current portfolio.

Thanks to titles such as Bus Simulator 18, Bus Simulator 21, Rescue HQ – The Tycoon, Grand Casino Tycoon and Drone Swarm, stillalive studios ranks among Austria’s established developers of simulators and strategy games.
