Super Mega Team

Super Mega Team is a Spanish independent development studio founded in 2009 in Spain. The studio specialises in original indie games that combine striking hand-drawn graphics, innovative gameplay mechanics and a distinctive art style. Their aim is to create games with a unique atmosphere and unforgettable gameplay.

The studio’s first well-known project was the action platformer Rise & Shine, which combines dynamic shooting, logic puzzles and challenging boss battles. The game pays homage to classic video games whilst offering modern graphics and sophisticated bullet physics.

The studio achieved its greatest success with The Knight Witch, which combines elements of Metroidvania, bullet hell shooters and card games. Players take on the role of Rayne, a flying witch, exploring an interconnected world, battling enemies using magic and gunplay, and gradually unlocking new abilities and cards that alter their playstyle.

Super Mega Team is known for its hand-drawn graphics, emphasis on fluid controls and original ideas that blend multiple game genres. The studio pays great attention to detail, animations and creating games that are accessible to new players whilst also offering a challenge to experienced fans.

Thanks to games such as Rise & Shine and The Knight Witch, Super Mega Team has established a strong position amongst European independent studios. Their titles have been released on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC, and have garnered acclaim for their original gameplay and visual style.
