Taito Corporation

Taito Corporation is a legendary Japanese video game company founded in 1953 in Tokyo. It is one of the pioneers of the video game industry and played a significant role in the development of arcade games. Since 2005, it has been a subsidiary of Square Enix Holdings.

It achieved its greatest global success in 1978 with the release of the legendary arcade game Space Invaders, which became one of the most influential titles in video game history and helped launch the worldwide popularity of arcade machines.
