⚔️ Excalibur 2555 A.D.
Excalibur 2555 A.D. was released in 1997 and combined the legend of Excalibur with a futuristic sci-fi setting. It was a 3D action-adventure game in which the player explored environments, fought enemies and searched for items. Tempest Software developed the original PlayStation version, whilst the Windows port was created in collaboration with another studio.
🔫 Lone Soldier
Lone Soldier is a third-person action game released for the PlayStation in 1996. The player controls a soldier fighting against enemy units in environments ranging from the jungle and the city to futuristic locations.
🚙 Grudge Warriors
This was followed in 2000 by Grudge Warriors, which focused on armoured vehicle combat. Players destroy enemy vehicles and strategic targets whilst progressing through individual missions. The game was published by Take-Two Interactive.
🎮 A British developer from the PlayStation era
Tempest Software is one of the smaller British studios associated with the early era of 3D console games. Its catalogue is not extensive, but titles such as Excalibur 2555 A.D., Lone Soldier and Grudge Warriors now represent an interesting part of the history of the original PlayStation.
