Wide Games

Wide Games was a British video game development studio best known for its realistic action games set during World War II. The studio focused on combining stealth elements, tactical gameplay, and cinematic storytelling.

The studio’s best-known titles are Prisoner of War from 2002 and Pilot Down: Behind Enemy Lines from 2005. Both games transported players to the setting of World War II, where it was crucial to rely not only on weapons but also on stealth, tactics, and survival behind enemy lines. The studio Kuju Entertainment collaborated on the development of Pilot Down: Behind Enemy Lines.

Although Wide Games did not release a large number of games, its titles gained a following thanks to their unconventional approach to war action and emphasis on a realistic atmosphere. Both Pilot Down and Prisoner of War remain interesting, lesser-known games for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC.
