Yuki Enterprise
Yuki Enterprise Inc. was a Japanese video game development studio focused primarily on fighting games, board games, and strategy titles for consoles. The studio was active from the late 1990s and contributed to the development of games for PlayStation, PlayStation 2, PSP, Wii, Neo Geo, Dreamcast, and arcade machines.
The studio’s best-known games include Samurai Shodown V, Samurai Shodown V Special, Arcana Heart, Kurohyō 2: Ryū ga Gotoku – Ashura Hen, Sega Smash Pack: Volume 1, Master Chess, Ultimate Mind Games, and several titles from the Simple 1500 and Simple 2000 series.
The studio was best known for its collaborations with SNK Playmore, D3 Publisher, and SEGA. In addition to fighting games, it also developed chess, mahjong, and other puzzle games intended primarily for the Japanese market.
Although Yuki Enterprise Inc. was not among the largest Japanese studios, its work on the Samurai Shodown series and other arcade games secured it a firm place in the history of the Japanese video game industry.
