To prevent the overflow of the magic teapot and defeat the evil Zaron, Cocoto sets out on a quest to awaken the sleeping god Ge. With the help of his friends Fairy, Baggy and Neur, Cocoto must retrieve the five pieces of bait necessary to awaken Ge.

Catching the fish is a three-step process. After finding a good spot, Cocoto casts and then moves around the bait until he gets the fish's attention. Once the fish sees the bait, it must follow it until it bites, and then set the hook. Finally, the fish is reeled in. Once the fish is caught, it can be sold to Baggy in exchange for diamonds. The diamonds can then be used to buy bait and new fishing rods from Neuro.
