Shifters is an action RPG with hack & slash elements that follows on from Might and Magic: Crusaders of Might and Magic. The player takes on the role of Allon, a Templar who can change his appearance into six different forms, each with unique abilities and fighting styles. The story takes place in a fantasy world threatened by dark forces, and players must explore diverse environments such as cities, castles, and underground dungeons, where hordes of enemies, traps, and bosses await.

The key to the game is switching between forms, which adds a strategic element to combat and exploration. Each form has specific abilities suitable for combat or overcoming obstacles in the environment, such as flying or the power to break walls.
