Virtua Cop: Elite Edition is a combination of Virtua Cop 1 and 2.

You play as a police officer who has been called in to resolve a situation and is armed with his trusty weapon. Enemies pop out from behind most objects and a net lights up around them, alerting you that they are armed and dangerous. You must have quick reflexes as innocent people appear and need to be protected.

There are 6 levels in total, 3 of each game, and these levels have multiple stages. With three levels of difficulty and customization options such as number of continues, auto recharge and enemy indicator removal, you can make the game as hard or easy as you want. There are multiple paths in some levels, so there is some incentive to replay.

There is a two-player co-op mode that can still be played with two light weapons, or you can use the Dual Shock pad. Training is also available. Although this is an old game for the Sega Saturn console, it hasn't been improved much for the PS2, so expect smoother gameplay with older graphics.
