It's a crime thriller that seamlessly combines crime investigation, clue-finding, car chases and shootouts with revolutionary interrogation-based gameplay that allows players to interpret the emotions of the characters to get to the truth.

Players take on the role of Cole Phelps, a decorated war veteran who rises up the career ladder of the police department through solving a series of brutal murders and other crimes that bring him face-to-face with the dark heart of Los Angeles during the golden era of Hollywood.

L.A. Noire was developed in a special collaboration between Rockstar Games and Team Bondi and includes revolutionary new MotionScan technology. MotionScan uses 32 high-resolution cameras to capture the actors' faces in 3D, bringing every aspect of their performance into the game, allowing players for the first time to read the lips of the game's characters and study every last detail of their facial expressions.
