Malthael, the fallen Archangel of Learning who disappeared long ago, returns in Reaper of Souls as the Angel of Death and seizes the black Soulstone, which contains the essence of Prime Evil. If its power were unleashed upon the world, the consequences would be catastrophic.

Fortunately, however, a new hero-Crusader-comes ready to join hands and hold Malthael accountable for his actions. Clad in massive armor, with an impenetrable shield, this new playable character comes with a plethora of punishing weapons and powerful battle magic that can strengthen allies as well as weaken enemies.
