Xbox One is a unique gaming system designed to let you play the best games of the past, present and future. Xbox One games and accessories you already own are compatible with Xbox One X. If you're a gamer, you probably already have a library of games that will play better, and that will look better on Xbox One X.

Spencer also announced that backwards compatibility will expand to nearly 400 popular Xbox 360 games and will include games for the original Xbox, including Crimson Skies.

Xbox also announced that Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, Minecraft, Resident Evil 7, Final Fantasy 15, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands, Rocket League and dozens more popular Xbox One games will get a free update to take advantage of the full power of Xbox One X. Many of these games will be enhanced to run at full 4k resolution and will be available on Xbox One X launch day.

Xbox unveiled a record 42 games, including 22 Xbox One console exclusive titles from small and large developer studios.
