The new Super Mario Bros. Wii is a platforming game developed and published by Nintendo for the Wii console. The game was first released in 2009 and is the sequel to New Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo DS.

The game brings the classic Super Mario Bros. action with all the familiar elements and characters, but adds a few new elements as well. One of the main new features is co-operative multiplayer for up to four players, a first in the Super Mario Bros. Players can play as Mario, Luigi, and two versions of Toad, and can join or leave at any time during the game.

Each level is filled with coins, power-ups and secret areas to explore. The game consists of eight worlds, each with a different theme and level type.

The game also introduces new power-ups, such as the Propeller Mushroom, which allows players to take to the air, and the Penguin Suit, which allows players to glide on ice and swim with better control underwater.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii was generally well-received and was praised for its multiplayer, creative level design, and return to the traditional Mario game style.
