Die Hard Trilogy 2: Viva Las Vegas for PlayStation is the sequel to the successful action game that once again combines three different game styles into one title. Players take on the role of the fearless John McClane, who this time travels to Las Vegas to foil the plans of dangerous criminals. The story takes place in casinos, city streets, luxury hotels and dark underground complexes, with each location offering different challenges and atmospheres. Compared to the first instalment, the graphics have been improved, the environment is more detailed and the animations are smoother, giving the game a more cinematic feel.

As with the original Die Hard Trilogy, the gameplay is divided into three parts: third-person action with exploration and shootouts, a rail shooter where the player reacts quickly to enemies, and adrenaline-fuelled car chases. Each mode has its own pace and mechanics, bringing variety and a constant sense of action. There are explosive effects, McClane's trademark sarcastic one-liners, and tension that keeps players on their toes. Although the game received mixed reviews due to the uneven quality of the individual modes, it offered action fans a varied experience that skilfully combines different genres into one dynamic adventure.
