Turok: Evolution is a first-person shooter game developed by Acclaim Studios Austin and published by Acclaim Entertainment. The game was released for multiple platforms, including PlayStation 2, in 2002. "Turok: Evolution" is a prequel to the original 1997 game "Turok: Dinosaur Hunter".

The game follows the story of a hero named Tal'Set (known as Turok) who finds himself in a violent world full of dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures, as well as advanced technology. Tal'Set is a Native American warrior who was transported to an alternate universe called Lost Land during a battle with Captain Tobias Bruckner early in the game.

The gameplay of Turok: Evolution is action-oriented. Players must fight against a variety of enemies, including dinosaurs, different types of soldiers, and giant bosses. A wide variety of weapons are available, including a bow, different types of firearms and grenades. Some parts of the game also include flight sequences where players control a bird named Quetzalcoatlus.
