Dance: UK has a standard "bemani" formula - arrows appear on the screen rhythmically and the player must use these arrows and the music to press the corresponding button (either on a peripheral dance pad or a standard controller) in time. Points are awarded for accuracy, and bonuses are awarded for creating certain "combos" (mini-routines within a song that are considered particularly difficult or long).
