Home Alone for PlayStation 2 is an action adventure game inspired by the popular film series Home Alone. The player takes on the role of Kevin McCallister, who must defend his house (and in some levels other locations) from a pair of burglars, Harry and Marv. The goal is to strategically place traps, pitfalls, and various improvised weapons to prevent the intruders from getting to the valuables and driving them out of the house.

The game combines elements of platforming, action, and simple logic puzzles. Progress requires exploring the environment, collecting items, and using them at the right moment. The graphics are stylized in simple 3D, accompanied by light-hearted humor in the spirit of the movie.
